Bidii kwa maendeleo
is a micro-credit and savings project founded in 1999. The project serves
the people living in the slum of Kibera (the largest in Africa, with
approximately 750,000 inhabitans) by providing them with small loans to
run or expand their businesses. It also aims at encouraging in people the
importance of savings.
